The end of the second week in a new role is leaving me exhausted. Adjustments always take a moment and getting back to the type of shift I enjoy; a bit older than the last time is knocking me off my feet a bit.
But as I was scrolling around looking at quotes, I thought this was a good one for today. Sometimes finding a great fit for your strengths and skills can take time. I can say that I think I have found a great fit for me in this position.
If you are working to create your best life, keep looking at the ways in which you earn an income. Make what you do; your job, be something you enjoy (at least most of the time). Even if you have to learn something new, use that as a challenge for yourself. Don’t be afraid of the new or unknown. Sometimes taking a calculated risk truly does pay off.
I am someone who likes to be challenged. To learn something new. I am often easily distracted and enjoy change. So once again, I am not living to work, but am enjoying the work I do.
And by the way; blogging is one of the things that makes me happy so I will continue to post. To encourage you to live each day to the fullest. To cheer you on in pursuing your goals, dreams and best life. Today! Everyday!
With the arrival of spring, this change of season has also brought a flu, stricking me down this week. It’s been a challenge to juggle all the demands of a job, motherhood and partnership. Thankful to have a teammate who picks up the slack when I can barely move. Grateful all our kids are big enough to pitch in and are great at helping out.
As I’m hoping this nasty bug is on its way out, I’m attempting one more day of resting. Sending y’all a nice thought to start this week.
It’s been beautiful here this week in the Northwest! Spring has officially arrived. With the warm sunshine early and now the rain. Do you know that smell of new rain? That smell of water hitting the asphalt, kicking up the dust and dirt that has been frozen over for months now. It’s not near as cold as many other places in the world, but we have our own winter that leave us longing for spring.
And this week has me ready to burst with all the newness that comes within this season. Soon we will see all the flowers open and bloom. The grass will grow and lawns will be mowed. Jackets will be put away and more walks will commence. Already the windows are open and the fresh air rushes in.
We have so many new happenings in our lives. Spring is a great time to start new projects. To look at the goals that you set out to achieve and really get to work on them. If you haven’t started yet, now is the time.
I am spending time thinking on this today as we embrace these changes in our life. Bring on the beauty of Spring.
It feels like spring again today! Waking up to the sunshine is such a positive way to rise. There is a hope that springs brings that is different than any other season. Promises of new, fresh and beautiful are on the horizon.
As I’m enjoying my quiet morning before the daily symphony of folks awaken, I’m reflecting on this statement:
Spring is the time for new. We have some exciting new changes and adventures we are planning and working on this spring. Can’t wait to see the fruit these produce.
Are you planning for new? Any beginnings coming your way? Watch for what may be coming, new life sprouts soon.
Have a fabulous day!
It is the end of another beautiful weekend here in Oregon! We have been loving summer in the Pacific Northwest. A house full of children home for the season! Lake time, swimming, boating, walks, play, etc. This is a new era in my life as I have welcomed a partner and more children into my life. After a long season of darkness and sorrow, it is refreshing to have a season filled with joy and love.
I am reflecting on this quote today as I hang with some of the kids, being creative and attempting to stay cool. May the broken moments you have faced bring you closer to your true self. When you face the demons and move past them, learning what you were meant to learn, you find the joy on the other side.
Have a fabulous Sunday and a great week!
Seek Joy Always!
