It’s another day to celebrate. Mother’s Day! What a fabulous day it’s been to be celebrated by so many that I love and show me love.
Sending a thank you to all the moms that sacrifice to bring children up. May you be honored today by all whom you love.
I know I’ve written often about gratitude but I have to again. This is a reoccurring theme these days. Today I’m overwhelmed with thankfulness for my life! I’m feeling sappy and smiling. Beautifully exhausted as we stayed up too late enjoying time without kids, which is a rare event.
The past (almost) year has been life changing. So many changes and more to come. But tackling life with a partner that loves and respects you is amazing, makes me believe anything is possible.
Not every moment of every day is wonderful. We get tired. We get short with the ones we love. But even those moments, once mended, bring us closer and create so much growth and connection that I can’t help but be thankful for them.
Just wanted to share the joy. And this message of gratitude. Hope you are having just as wonderful of a day.
There is something amazing that happens to your soul when you stay in a state of thanksgiving. It pours out of you. Smiles and laughter are hard to contain.
With the arrival of spring, this change of season has also brought a flu, stricking me down this week. It’s been a challenge to juggle all the demands of a job, motherhood and partnership. Thankful to have a teammate who picks up the slack when I can barely move. Grateful all our kids are big enough to pitch in and are great at helping out.
As I’m hoping this nasty bug is on its way out, I’m attempting one more day of resting. Sending y’all a nice thought to start this week.
It’s been beautiful here this week in the Northwest! Spring has officially arrived. With the warm sunshine early and now the rain. Do you know that smell of new rain? That smell of water hitting the asphalt, kicking up the dust and dirt that has been frozen over for months now. It’s not near as cold as many other places in the world, but we have our own winter that leave us longing for spring.
And this week has me ready to burst with all the newness that comes within this season. Soon we will see all the flowers open and bloom. The grass will grow and lawns will be mowed. Jackets will be put away and more walks will commence. Already the windows are open and the fresh air rushes in.
We have so many new happenings in our lives. Spring is a great time to start new projects. To look at the goals that you set out to achieve and really get to work on them. If you haven’t started yet, now is the time.
I am spending time thinking on this today as we embrace these changes in our life. Bring on the beauty of Spring.
Love this quote and pretty picture. ❤️
Hope your day has had at least one moment of joy. If not, may you try again tomorrow. A choice, every single day. Blessings to you.
