Finally! We have finally made it to the last letter in the alphabet! There are so many words one could choose. Language and vocabulary can be exciting to learn. I have loved learning new words and highlighting some favorites along the way.
This seemed a great word for the last one. Be zealous for this life! To learn, to grow, to strike out on new adventures! I want to always tackle this life with Zeal.
I hope you have enjoyed learning new words through out this series. I have had a lot of fun creating posts based on a simple concept of learning. As I wrap this up, I am busy thinking of the next topic to explore on Friday’s…stay tuned.
Have a fabulous day!
Good morning world. It’s early here in the Pacific Northwest. The typical rain is falling and my Friday begins. I’m enjoying the quiet as usual in the mornings. I should be at the gym but this puppy sitting at my feet had me up and down throughout the night, sleep was a challenge.
I was searching for the next letter in the alphabet and found this word. It’s Japanese and I’ll have to see if there is an English equivalent. But what a beautiful thought; to be so in touch, in sync with the universe that you deeply react to the beauty or perhaps even the despair. I’m not sure but I would think this word could apply either way. As long as you’re feeling a strong emotional response.
I’ve been in my Montana mountains or in the Tetons and felt this. I’m often moved by the beauty of the sunset. I’ve been known to pull over and take pictures. To stand and watch and just be in awe.
I hope you have some connection with the universe that you have moments of yugen. Look for it, it’s all around.
Have a fabulous Friday.
Today’s word is not only fun but brings a picture in my mind off my favorite places. The beach in Halewa, Hawaii. The Montana mountains. In a kayak watching the sunset. Just the thoughts of these places brings me peace and happiness.
I hope every one of you reading this has a place you think of when you read this word. Somewhere that brings you great contentment. That when you’re there all stresses melt away and you find joy. That is beautiful and you immediately smile upon just the thought of being there.
Picture your Xanadu today and have a fabulous Friday!
I was thinking of what word to use for today and it kind of started a theme in my head. Here’s the first one, to meet today’s choice, it needed to be a W word. And it’s so fitting for me as I definitely have this often.
Which led to these as well. Another word to fit the idea today.
And how fabulous would this be?! I can close my eyes and feel the wind, calm, peace… Oh if only I could fly!
Good morning from the Pacific Northwest, USA. It’s early and still dark out, but I’ve a puppy so I’m up daily in the early hours. She’s so sweet it’s not too hard to tend to her. Plus gives me this morning time to ease into the day. I love the quiet and calm of being the only one awake.
Today’s word so fits me, I’m definitely wistful when I enter a bookstore, of any kind really. I think I could live in a bookstore. The smell of books. The excitement when you find just the story you were wanting to read. Curling up in a chair, the coziness and warmth all the books bring. I don’t care what kind, used or new, I just love books.
For those who enjoy reading and books… This word is for you today.
I haven’t shared a word from another language in a bit. I think it’s always interesting to learn, so this was a great word for today.
It’s a Japanese word that I wonder if we have an English equivalent.
Being present; in the moment is definitely where I’m finding joy today. Taking an extra day this holiday season to spend with my oldest home from college.
Enjoy today. Don’t worry every moment about the pains of life. Learning to do this can be tough but does bring peace to your days, helping you live your best life.
Sending you all positive thoughts to stay present today.
Another Friday is upon us. The last day of November. Another year quickly coming to a close. I am surprised how fast this year has gone. Perhaps when you change your life in drastic ways that everything is almost unrecognizable; the year moves faster than usual.
I love this word I found today. I am often torn between my love of the mountains and my love of the ocean. But thought this word sounded cool and described many I know. There is something about sitting on a beach, in the sand, watching the waves roll in and out, the wind blowing (at least on the beaches in the PNW) that brings a tranquility not found anywhere else. The ocean reminds us how small we are. And for me how great and powerful things can be. The sea is a mighty force that can be beautiful and ferocious. Like each one of us in this life.
Are you a thalassophile? Get out and enjoy the sea!
